But then the winds would change, and the vessel would circle back, the calm waters she sought once again far away, lost beyond the razor-thin horizon of rational thought and outright despair.
When she finally decided enough was enough, she took action in a way that left almost everyone lost and frantic, all because of a single, instinctual act of survival on her part. It was the only thing she could think of to save herself…and more importantly, maybe save them all.
